I currently have a GEForce 9800 GT graphic card. Just wondering does anyone know if this would run the BF3 game? I played the beta and it ran fine. Realize that doesn't mean anything. I guess my question is, is anyone running a graphic card that wasn't recommended for optimal performance in the game? I guess I will have to purchase a new card but just trying to circumvent that process for awhile if I could and play the game. Thanks for any help. 13 out.

If its DX 11 it should.  Maybe not the BEST, but it should be fine.

Win XP or anything less than DX11 is not supported.

I think it will get by. the game is directX 11, but also backwards compatible with dx10. It will not run on directX 9 or on XP. Must be Vista or Windows 7 and preferably 64 bit.  If you want better performance I'd save up for a GeForce GTX 550  Ti or better. I have a GTX 570 and it is smooth. the 9800 may be sluggish but give it a whirl and let us know if it's workable.

FWIW, i have a GTX460 768mb.  Runs the game fine on default settings.  Havent wanted to turn ther graphics up.  I get avg 45-50 FPS.
