this are great strategy FPS games, and the best thing its that we could have besides infantry, armory divisions, flight corps, medics, engineers, etc. making it a really really realistic game, jeez only the bullet time will add a lot of thrill to the game.
It is more likely that ill be getting this game for the PC since ive played operation flashpoint cold wars, resistance, and ArmA combat operations. Ive been a OFP fan ever since the cold war demo came out.
A preorder is now in effect at gamestop so heres the link! GameStop-OFP2:DR

I think the map size will affect the server more than the indivudal PC, i played a game once, cannot remember the name, but it was actual scale size of europe. Took hours to drive from one place to the other, got kind of boring and extremely time consuming, but it didnt bog my computer down anymore than a regular FPS. What really killed it for fun was you go for an hour to get some where, artillery kills you and you respawn an hour away again.....weeee. I do look forward to trying OFP2 though.

Today, a new pre-rendered concept video surfaced on YouTube. The video, uploaded today (31 March, 2009) shows a soldier (presumably a Marine) carrying an Assault Rifle over a mountainous environment. It also features concepts of both the team command interface, as well as calling in fire support and using a laser range finder/binocular set. Although it is most certainly a pre-render/CGI combination released some time ago (note the old CodeMasters OFP2 logo), it is surely impressive and worth the view. We can only hope OFP2 comes close to this concept video.
whoa there seabiscuit, slow down, that pre rendered video in no way shows actual in game play, that's CGI'ed , its a concept video, a really stunning one at that, although the textured mountainous scenery would take a super computer to run, if you want to see actual in game footage go here and watch the top video. The concept video was an early video that was released to give everyone an idea of what they were trying to accomplish.
Edit* you can also tell that the youtube video is old because it has "operation flashpoint 2" on it, it hasn't been referred to that for around a year now, its now just "operation flashpoint: dragon rising".
