Over the past few days I've heard ppl on TS talking about "Game Buster".

I did a search on line and found a few sites with the name, but I was wondering if someone could supply a URL for a trusted site.  I dont want to pick up something I cant wash off.

Thanks in advance.

Game Buster or Game Booster? I use Game Booster to shut down background programs when I game and with the recent update it has increased the machines performance quit a bit.

Okay give me second to find it here and I'll send you the link to their site. You can download the free version but have to buy the complete version. The free one is not bad it just doesnt give you everything the full one does obviously. This is the company or site that makes it. http://www.iobit.com/.

I have it a go. It lowered my ping by 5ms on server 3 and 5. No effect on the rest, oddly. But it's a nice tool to use if you want to get a good idea what services, etc. to turn off, for those who aren't sure.

I may keep using it for when I'm downloading something while i play.

Version 2 was not that impressive but did help some but the recent update to version 3 seems to make a bigger difference at least it looks that way to me.

Well I have been looking over some video and doing some research on the program and it appears its gear more towards lower end systems.  One forum I found stated it caused more issues with system that only had 2GB of memory with without using the program.

By all accounts you have a system that makes us all green with envy. The key to better pings is high-speed Internet (cable, preferably fibre) and not so much bandwidth. Sure the game will require a certain bandwidth but not 40Mb or more.

I have a couple of DL360/G4s (perhaps a G6 as well) with plenty of ram and disk which may become surplus as soon as I can get a business case to replace them Wink - just single CPU XEONs though.

Could I grab the same FirePro GPU and built myself a super-duper rig?
