Battlefield 3: Impressions of the first few campaign mission

WARNING: This preview has slight spoilers. Please don’t freak out.

To start the Battlefield 3 experience, players have three choices. A trio of buttons appear on the Battlelog screen, which is technically a page on your web browser. Those in the PC beta should be familiar with this. There’s multiplayer to the left, co-op in the middle and campaign on the right. It’s odd launching a game from a screen normally devoted to checking Facebook updates or emailing a co-worker..

At the Final Hour preview event this week in San Francisco, I clicked on the campaign and I was off playing the first four missions of the game. It begins like all blockbuster shooters with a bang and clatter of an action movie and after the short tutorial mission, it moves to the game proper.
