I ran my "Computer Performance" and every thing ranges from 7.6-7.9 except for my hard drives which scored at 6.2. The two "C Drives" I have running in RAID configuration at 10k. My question is this, can I do anything to improve the performance, or do I need to switch to SSD Drives???

well ssd's may be a lot faster but it does have its drawbacks as well for example if they fail you can/will loose everything no chance of restoring. and 2 they are expensive.

but ssd's are not the only way to increase performance there a couple of thing to check.
1. are you using the highest sata connection you can.
2. are they using the first and second sata ports.
3. is you bios set for performance rather then balanced.
4. have you have the latest firmware and drivers
5. have you performed a couple of defrag's in a row. (depending in os)
6. are you running the right raid configuration.
now these are not is any particular order btw.

As Mr-T has stated, SSDs have their ups and downs.

1. If they fail, they will fail and you lost everything.
2. They are expensive.

The big question I would ask is what are you looking to improve.  SSD are awesome for reading and writing at unmeasurable speeds.  Sadly enough, since they are just memory DIMMS designed for storage, the bottle neck with the data flow on an SSD is usually the front bus.

Now if you do alot of rendering, opening and saving large amount of data, then you are not going to do any better then an SSD.

Besides that, SSDs are really not going to help you out with like gaming.  Your game is going to start faster, but not perform better.  Your system will start faster, but thats about it.

In my personal system, I have a 300GB SSD for my OS drive.  I do my major data flow through there, OS, images, main programs. Then I have a 1.5 TB for a storage drive(secondary).  This is where I put my 2 priority programs, like steam, origin, GIMP, Microsoft programs, etc.

On top of that I have a 7TB storage server.  This is where I store all my music, pictures and movies.

Simply put it all depends on what you do with your system.

The performance gains are well wrong the risk and  extra cost.

Use your 10,000k HDs as backup and mass storage

Use windows back up in Win 7 to create a backup image to the spindle HD.

This is how I have mine set up.

Also I created a system image using a third party software that it is restored to another Hard Drive that can be booted if the raid fails.

So really with all the backups and images there is not changes of being down for than more 20 -30 minutes with a drive failure issue.
