While the Nook is Android based, most Android apps will not run on it.  There's the possibility of rooting it and installing a full on version of Android, but even if that is already available to do on the Nook HD I wouldn't recommend trying it if you don't know what you are doing.

To be blunt, this is the Nook color forum, not the Nook touch or Nook HD/+ forum. WE have been fairly lax about the rules, but our forum is starting o get overrun, and it needs to stop. and make a request for a Nook HD board. If one is created (which should happen), I will move any HD threads to that forum, and reopen them.

I apologize, and understand that this may not be a popular decision; truthfully, i should have never allowed it in the first place, and given the impression that this board is ok for it. I will try to be better in the future.
