Battlefield 4 Server Cost Update

Here is a rough estimate for the costs of the 2 public and one private BF4 servers we plan to rent.

I am basing these estimates on the BF3 server costs when BF3 came out of $1.50 per slot.

We plan to have a:
64 public
32 public
32 private

Totaling 128 slots for all of our servers.

128 slots x $1.50 =  $192

That is on top of our current server costs and is a lot more then we are currently getting in donations.

30 days after BF4 comes out we will evaluate our server needs and drop servers that re not needed. That dose mean we still have a very big first month costs.

If you are excited for our BF4 servers please consider giving a one time or monthly donation. Even $5 goes a long way to help support our servers.

What is the private 32 slot for? Matchprep? If so, I think it should be lower that that, I mean, we're not going to have 32 man teams in matches are we? I'd put it at 16 or something, maybe 20.

We use it for match preps and matches. We often host matches of 14 vs 14 or more in BF3.

I'm leaning towards making the 32 man server crouch. The map size in the beta looks like a good fit for crouch.

No official announcement will be made till after the public beta.

It sounds like a great set up to me Luke. It worked for BF3 at the start.
I'll be able to help out with a few more dollars Luke.

I give this clan $5.00 dollars a month on auto payment. I don't have cable right now but I will on Wednesday and my $5.00 comes out even if it doesn't go thru the first time when the money is on my credit card it will come out. I will try and up it a couple of bucks if I can. I am doing the best I can.

There is a discount but we do not have money to even prepay for a month right now.
