Canadian Remembrance Day

Today is the Canadian Remembrance Day,

On this day we take a moment to remember those who have made great sacrifice including, for many, the ultimate one, this allowing us to live freely and to enjoy our liberty every single day.

The definition of liberty is the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's behavior or political views, but is also a right or privilege.

I would ask for all, to please take a minute and remember those who have given it all for you; as a result for you may live and enjoy liberty.

Words for Remembrance Day

They shall grow not old

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

We will remember them.
