Hey everyone . I have been looking into getting a new graphics card. Ive been thinking of an XFX Geforce 8800GT. It is 256mb and PCI Express 2.0 and the list goes on. It cost $219.99 and with a $10 rebate. I was wondering what everyone else thought and if its a good buy. Any information is welcome and thank you for your time.

Check out Newegg.com

Also i would consider the 512mb version of that card.
They also havea 320mb 8800GTS, and a 640mb version.  That is if your budget allows it.

A question for you is.  What size is your monitor and whats the max resolution on it?  That also makes a big factor on which card to choose.

You would not believe what happened! the video card i was looking at isnt being sold by tigerdirect anymore! I found the same on Newegg but im not sure about if it is lifetime warranty like how it was on tigerdirect. I dnt want to spend a couple hundred dollars and have it break on me.

quick question...

whats your budget?  a 256MB isnt going to last long...many games are starting to require that.  i would recommend going with destroyer's suggestion of the 512MB card...it will cost a bit more now but save you a lot in the long run.

newegg does offer warranties, if i recall right...been a while since i was on there though.

video cards arent prone to breaking that often...just make sure your system is adequately cooled...
