Also i would consider the 512mb version of that card.
They also havea 320mb 8800GTS, and a 640mb version. That is if your budget allows it.
A question for you is. What size is your monitor and whats the max resolution on it? That also makes a big factor on which card to choose.

You would not believe what happened! the video card i was looking at isnt being sold by tigerdirect anymore! I found the same on Newegg but im not sure about if it is lifetime warranty like how it was on tigerdirect. I dnt want to spend a couple hundred dollars and have it break on me.

quick question...
whats your budget? a 256MB isnt going to last long...many games are starting to require that. i would recommend going with destroyer's suggestion of the 512MB card...it will cost a bit more now but save you a lot in the long run.
newegg does offer warranties, if i recall right...been a while since i was on there though.
video cards arent prone to breaking that often...just make sure your system is adequately cooled...
