In the time I spent away from DayZ Standalone there's been a lot of changes, most for the better as you'd expect with a game in Alpha BUT what are they thinking making civilian rifles and scopes more powerfull than military rifles and scopes ? lol

At the moment I'm carrying 2 rifles trying to decide which is the best all rounder, I have the Winchester Model 70 with Hunting scope (civilian) and an AKM with Kashtan C-1 scope (military)

Now I'm a little bias towards the .308win caliber because I own one in the real world (Browning BLR .308win - see pic below) and I know just how hard this baby hits in real life and in game

So DayZ players, Here's a night time Overwatch of the Northern Air Strip with both rifles - which rifle do you think I should keep and why ?

My AKM with Kashtan C-1 scope ( 7.62x39mm - gas operated - 75 round drum mag - Select Fire, single shot or full Auto )

OR my Winchester Model 70 with Hunting scope ( .308win - Bolt action - 5 round internal box - single shot )

Depends on what you want to do...I carry both the Winchester w/scope and the AK74...one for when I am just walking around and not sure when I might run into someone (AK74) and one for when I am perched on a hill or rock or scouting out a town prior to heading in (Winchester w/scope).  So...it depends on what you want to be...I want to be nimble enough but smart before I head into town...so I carry and will still carry both.  Not mentioned a CR75 AND a sawed off shotgun.

True Taz, I'm using the FNX pistol with a suppressor for close range, was using the MP5 with suppressor and red dot sight for medium range (ditched it for more room for food / water so I'm not reliant on any particular town and use the Win 70 for scoping out towns and sniping.
