Ah sinister...
Battlefield 1943´s Frostbite game engine allows for practically total destruction of all environments. That means that you can level almost anything you encounter in the game - from airplanes to buildings, bunkers, vehicles and navy vessels. Take aim, fire and watch the fireworks as your enemies' cover and heavy weaponry explode to little pieces! Use the destruction to your tactical advantage as you blow a new "door" in a building to flank the Japanese bucked down inside, or clear a path through the trees for a better line of sight to the action.
This is the updated version of the frostbite engine used in BC2.

Then that's strange. cause the console version has the BC engine in it - only partial destruction.

Battlefield: Bad Company 1 was released only on consol, which used the the frostbite engine. The issue Dice is having and the reason why Battleifield 1943 is delayed for so long is that they are having issues making the frost bite engine for the PC, that and because their main resources are working on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 (which is rumored to be PC exclusive much like Battlefield 2 was, it was also rumored that it will be using a new frostbite 2.0 engine).
