PC players will receive access to an open beta in December, and developer DICE will release a multiplayer demo on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.

Its odd that there is a beta only open to PS3 and PC gamers, kind of alienating the 360 crowd.

But, it does make sense if you put the pieces together, I will assume that they developed the game using a 360 and did all their testing with it and the such, so just to make sure it works on the PS3 and PC they will have a beta for them without having to waste internal time testing for each system.

Like all beta releases the devolpers let the public clean up thier bad coding.
