I watched the trailers posted here. They all look like to me it's all run and gun. There can be no time to plan your action/apporach, if you take the time your dead. As everyone knows I game with one hand (stroke 97). So when BC2 comes out I'm going to try it, but there willl be no fun for me if I'm just a moving target.

Thanks for the great post Nam-Ranger. BF BC2 is very very diffrent then COD games. It is 1/10 the speed of COD games. There will be tons of time to plan and move slowly. The game even  with running moves much slower then COD games due to both the speed and size of maps.

Hey Nam-Ranger, I realize your concern and looking at the "trailers" of this new game it can be very confussing and appears hectic. That maybe the case from time to time but for the most part Luke is correct to point out the differrence between the two games.

I have played every version of the BF series and the maps will be very large. There are many opportunities to pick an expertise from simple assault to manning vehicles and aircraft. Like any new game, there will be a time for all of us to adjust and make a better assessment once we get "hands-on" experience. If we hold true to squad-play it will be important that everyone is assigned a specific task to accomplish a mission.

Hang-on Buddy, I think you will enjoy it!

Hey Nam-Ranger, I understand your problem and your concern, but really there's no need to worry. As I said before there is a lot of space for different styles of gameplay in that game. Snipers, tank drivers, assault, supporters, medics, whatever makes you happy. And snipers are very important. So I wouldn't worry if I were you. Sniping and hiding is even easier then in COD sometimes. And the sniper supports the team in more ways than just killing some of the guys. He can overlook the battlefield, warn the team about tanks approaching and if he couldn't shoot the enemy he can just select them and he's teammates can kill them.

I have a question Luke. Do the class positions fill up so when you spawn you have to take one of the open classes left?

There is no limit on classes. The whole team could be one class.

lol, with this group, that could end up with a whole squad of snipers... entertaining when tanks show up!  Personally i think that we would wreak anyone that we came across, and how annoying would it be to be taken to the cleaners by a team that played all snipers?  Laughing

As I said there's plenty of space for different types of game play. Closed quarters, open planes. There's a variety of different types of environments on each map.

I have played some BF2 and I can tell you it is not all run and gun, but as others have said here we will need to work together to accomplish the task so the team with the best communications wins..... Very Happy TS3 will become even more important when playing.
