Im looking into upgrading my video cards.  Currently im running 8800gt sli.  Looking for suggestions.  Dont matter ATI or Nvidia.  Will not be going with a SLI setup this time.  Would like to stay within the $200-$300 range.  Thanks.

I got the Nividia 9800 GT GeForce i know its not one of the best but it works well, you might have to upgrade the power supply if yours is a little under power for this video card also.

I really love the new Nividia 200 line. I have a 260 in my laptop and it runs amazingly well. I think its well worth the money.

Last upgrade was a couple years ago so im out of touch on what is a good deal.  Power supply should be good, I think its a 650 watt 3 rail.

I like the GTX 260 but I would wait till the end of the month when the new cards come out from NVIDIA to see if the prices drop on the older cards. On the power supple it sound like it will do the job but with the GTX 260 I think it need 36 amp so you need to make sure your power supple put out 36 amp at 12 volt. Hope this helps. Well my current 260 is pretty overclocked and it cant run the game on the highest settings ( 1920x1080 ) without frame rates being around the 50's ( i cant stand it to be below 60 )

The 260 is a better card;

Then again a lot of people said that the newest driver doesn't even include a optimization fix for BC2.

This one is up in the air really; if you play at high resolutions then 260 all the way with the extra ram you'll def see a difference.

Like i said though the game still hasn't got its optimization patches yet.

Here a link to show the performance of the 5770 on COD WAW compared to other cards. Your power supple stat from the post you made fall short for the GTX 260 sorry about that. I found a BFG GTX 275 on clearance today at Best Buy of all place for only $214 most on line store still have them in the upper $200 range.

Went yesterday and got this card, http://pcdirect.com/saatirahd57v.html but think im taking is back for this one, http://pcdirect.com/saatirahd58v.html.  Ran 3dmark 06 on both my SLI and the 5770 and the 5770 did score a couple hundred better than the 8800 setup.  Played a little of BC2 last night with everything running as high as it would go and ran great.  Running 1440x900 on the old setup I would see a little lag but with the 5770 smooth as silk.  Looked at the power supply and it is a 42 amp supply.  One thing I noticed was it seemed the load time in between maps was longer.  Will post how the 5850 does compared to the 5770 and 8800's.

For Price & Performance I think the 4890 fits the bill. Its a bit stronger than the 260.

Got this one today, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121361&Tpk=eah5850 at a local shop for $10 more.  Ran 3dmark06 and score was 1500 higher then the 5750.  Think im going to stay with this one and then cross fire it when the price comes down.  I will need to upgrade my motherboard and power supply when I do.  Might as well add another 4gb of memory to boost it up to 8gb.  Thanks for the help guys.
