I have a big upgrade coming up this weekend at work.  We will be upgrading our four DC's from Windows 2K to 2003.  Has anyone done this?  If so did you run into any problems along the way?  I have most of the prepping done and will be running adprep tonight.   Thanks in advance.

Well everything went fine sort of?  We successfully added a now 03 DC.  Adding the DC was not the time consumer that was the prep you have to do go get to that point.  All of our servers are 03, Novell, and soon to be 08 but all of our DC's are 2k.  With 2k end of life coming in July and a new net vision server we just added we needed to upgrade them to 03.  I wanted to add a 03 server first to have a good copy of active directory on an 03 box, went like BSS (Bill said so, lol).  The DC's are loaded on Dell Poweredge 2650's (old), and only one has a cd-rom.  I am contracted in to the local County and saving cost is a big thing so usually we do not get cd/dvd roms added and use a external rom instead.  When the Poweredge servers where bought we did get one internal rom that we would switch when needed, guess what that rom dont work.  Systems sees the rom but you can not read any media, lol.  So we went to use the external roms, which are USB 2.0 the server is not (not backwards compatible).  So we are dead in the water for now.  We will be putting in for 2 new server, and finally a SAN.  I am so excited about getting the SAN, no more tape backups Very Happy .
