So, Project Origin just came out, and I being able to afford it, jumped up and down like a little school girl.

FEAR falls into the Horror/Action genre and I think defines it to an extent. Monolith (the devs) continue the tone of the first FEAR and it's expansions by blending amazing lighting and particle effects with an impressive score and a Very Sneaky A.I.. The enemy's coordination is very good, and they will regularly flank you or lay traps for you at the provocation of seeing your flashlight beam around a corner. and just whenever you get settled in a comfortable groove of running and shooting, the Story comes along and hits you like a truck. The Story is very well done, keeping things lively, but still being expansive enough to have you identifying with characters and getting genuinely mad at the Villians for screwing with everyone's lives.

All in all, a very fun and Immersive game that will have you jumping at shadows Very Happy. But dont let that stop you from playing it, because Monolith seemed to realize that the primary purpose of this game is to be fun, and IMO, they pulled it off very well.

10/10
