What Operating System are you using, and are you launching the program from a short cut on the desktop or directly from the .exe file in the game folder?

Hmm...try to go into My Computer / C:/ Program Files / Steam - right click on Steam Application (Click run as Administrator)

It is an issue with Steam not launching properly.  You might have to uninstall and reinstall Steam, but try to launch it directly from the program file first.

Also are you behind a router or firewall??  Are you ports open for Steam and BO?

If opening the .exe out of the Program Folder "Run as Administrator" does not work, another thing to try is to try running the .exe file in Compatibility Mode Windows XP SP2  (instead of VISTA)

Glad you got if fixed Nam. Lord knows you have had your share of problems with this game, along with a few others. Hope to see you in there again soon. And thanks to you too Kula for helping him out.

Next time Nam-Ranger I would suggest first  deleting the "ClientRegistry.blob" file in your Steam folder.ANY...and I mean ANY error in Steam can be caused by this file.Don't worry, after deleting this file reopen Steam and it will auto dl it for you. When I was playing Steam games daily I would delete that file on a regular basis just  to keep from getting any errors. It may not fix ever error but,It's a small file and way faster than any other fix to try.
