I used to play battlefield 2 as well. I definitely didn't play as much as you guys though. Also played 1942 (but that was before we upgraded from dial-up), and the first vietnam as well as 2142.

What a great series.

Still don't understand why the battlefield series is not popular with Bk (BFBC2 being the latest victim).  With medics, engineers, squads, vehicles, etc. it's more of well rounded war game than anything out there.  Although I like CoD for fast paced, mindless shoot 'em up stress relief, it is the mirror opposite of battlefield's teamplay.  Perhaps most folks that come to BK are lone wolfs

I think the main reason most BK don't like Battlefield is because it's more difficult than CoD. No offense to anyone out there, but that's just what I've gathered over the last year from people who don't like it.

They aren't good at it, get frustrated, and go back to CoD. It definitely can be a hard game to master.

I agree to a point, I don't think it's a hard game to master, just different in the obvious sense that you need to work together to achieve a goal (arm/disarm mcom; opposes camping) as opposed to CoDs individual efforts focused on kills only (favors camping which is better suited to some).

Anyhow, looking forward to BF3, hope bk folks get onboard, but won't affect my buying/playing decision either way.

Well honestly it wasn't hard for me to master, and I'm sure it's not hard for a lot of people, but I know a lot of people who just couldn't make the switch.

Well I think part of the reason BC2 didnt hit so well was because it was missing some of the things that made BF2 good. It was good and I enjoyed it but also some of the issues that affected game play made it less than the original. I think BF3 will hopefully bring back all of the original along with the good parts of the modern games and make it more popular. We can only see. BTW Scoob I didnt play for K/D back then I played for the goals, which if you look closely you will see I acquired quit a few plus the team work of the game and dominating the other side. Ask Kula or Windy about how lethal I could be back then.

I think all these games are just a personal choice. There are both positive and negatives to any game. I too will look forward to checking out the new BF3 game.Honestly whether or not we support the game with servers shouldn't have any any effect on you if you enjoy the game and play it. My son still has his Sega hooked up!!!!!! I do agree with the earlier comment that the BF series is more honed to BK teamwork style games. With all the different classes you can chose, you can really put forth a well rounded unit to do battle.That is all...Carry on.
